I really hate it when someone tries to explain what someone else was feeling when they wrote something. You didn’t write the goddamn song, so get over yourself. Maybe that is what he meant, but maybe you just need to be able to relate to music on your own level and not assume you know what the artist was thinking about when they wrote it.
